Mike,

I would like to add a word of caution about strippable coatings - if you apply
them over a very large area, they can become unmanageable (both in terms of
activity contained, volume, and weight) when you begin to take them off.  

On the plus side, when you apply the second coat to fix the remaining
contamination in place, you have the opportunity to drape lead blankets over
the coating without worrying about contaminating them.
