Re: Airport X-rays & Computers

I have put many different brand laptops and printers through the
x-ray machines located throughout the USA, and foreign countries
(where the x-ray dose is MUCH higher - similar to a fluoro unit)
without any problems whatsoever. I have also had diskettes and CDs
irradiated as well... The exposures from these x-ray units are
negligible, and all pretty much use image intensification, and not
continuous exposure.

I believe that the technician was using the typical hysterical
approach to something that involved radiation exposure without any
consideration or merits of the conclusions determined.
