Re: Skin Dose from Tc-99m



Check out  NCRP Report No. 111 "Developing Radiation Emergency Plans for
Academic, Meidcal or Industrial Facilities. On page 25, you'll find
Table 4.3 "Skin contamination dose equivalent rate factors at a depth
of  7 mg.cm^2.

The value quoted for Tc-99m is 243 mSv-cm^2 per MBq-h  (multiply by 3.7
tp obtain the dose equivalent rate in rad-cm^2 per mCi-h).

I find this table very useful and keep it nearby for quick reference!
It's also very good for teaching purposes,  to stress the importance of
contamination control in the nuclear medicine department or research
lab!!
