Re: Chernobyl

     Phil,

A lot of this type of data is in the NRC's "Report on the Accident at
the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station." It's NUREG-1250.

Does anyone know of any reliable summary data for Chernobyl? For
instance, how many total curies were released, how many square miles
have been contaminated, what's the maximum distance of contamination,
what is the contamination levels in pCi/g of soil at selected distances
from the plant? For the sake of this discussion lets define
"contamination" as anything above typical risk-dose-based US cleanup
standards.
