I wish to confirm a couple of comments which appeared in RADSAFE on May
26, with respect to which Section is really meant by the (incorrect)
reference to 173.451 in 49 CFR 173.427(a)(3).
Since 173.451 (until March 1, 1996) stated that "Except as provided in
173.453, each package containing fissile radioactive materials must
comply with 173.451 through 173.459," and 173.451 and 173.455 have since
been removed, the reference to 173.451 in 173.427(a)(3) should be
replaced by a reference to 173.453, 173.457, and 173.459. I.e., if the
LSA/SCO you plan to ship is also fissile, remember to satisfy any
pertinent requirements for shipping fissile material.

The section 173.427 (a)(3) refers to section 173.451. There is no section
listed in the 49 CFR.
What is the correct section referenced here?
