Re: Low energy x-ray (8 kev) survey meter
Joel, I appreciate you and Dr. Kathreen for responding to my request. I was looking
through instrument catalogs last week. I found low energy gamma scintillators had
energy range 10 kev and up. I wasn't sure whether 10 kev is good enough for our
defraction unit that produces 8 kev x-rays. What scintillation detectors have you
used for low energy x-rys?
I looked around and I found an old CP which I kept. If it can be calibrated, I would
be saving over two thousand. I didn't realized the price of CP. As you mentioned,
it is a bit large to check some tight areas. I would like to have a small
scintillator addition to a CP. Thank you. M. Jo
