Dose from C-14

A query has arisen here regarding the doses received by operations staff at
open top, pool type research reactors from C-14.   I haven't been to the
library yet, but I'd appreciate if anyone could give me any pointers.  Is it
a problem? Does it contribute significantly to staff dose and or effluent
considerations?
