Good morning,

The Wing article was published after the TMI case was terminated.  The
information in that article was used in the case but did not carry the day.  I
understand that the plaintives hope that having the article published in a peer
reviewed journal will provide extra weight and enable them to re-open the case.

I do wonder about the quality of the peer review.  EHP is an unknown quantity to
me, but it seems that Wing has a special ability to get things through the process. 
Evidently the Journal of the American Medical Association short circuited its peer
review process to publish the earlier Wing article, and then refused to publish any
criticism  of that article.  Of course, criticism was published (see Dan Strom's 
article in Nuclear News) but JAMA would have none of it.
