Ni-63

Hi
    I made a smear test on a gas chromatograph electron capture detector

(outside) and found 300-400 cpm (liquid scintillation counter).
    The detector include a 15 mCi Ni-63 source.
1. Is this a normal thing??
2. Do you know the email of HP  GC division?
