FW: decommissioning measurements

Try NE Bicron for a pipe monitor...it is NaI scintillation probe made to push
distances up to 25 feet, roughly 2 cm diameter. They call it the MHV Pipe
Probe. I'm not sure why you weren't able to get this information from Bicron
since I still show it in their more recent literature that I have. Other
materials you may want to consider waste monitors (Canberra, Bicron) or Small
Article Monitors (Bicron). For both of these applications, the most challenging
part will be setting up the release parameters so that they conform to your
release criteria without excessive false alarms from natural activity.

Subject: decommissioning measurements

Dear Radsafer,
I am looking for some information about monitoring systems used
to measure plant pieces (pipes and other stuffs) from a
decommissioning nuclear power plant.
Plant pieces will be dismantled, cutted and decontaminated.
Is there any one in the list that have some experience in this kind
of measurement, or can tell me where I can find some information?
I have already contacted all monitoring device producers I know
(Canberra, Ludlum, Eberline, Bicron, etc.), but I wish to have further
information directly from people that worked on this subject.

Thank you
