SI unit prefixes -Reply

It seems that we have identified another US/Canadian difference.  The "American
National Metric Council" in 1975 gave "da" as the symbol for deka (along with the
admonition to generally avoid the use of  the prefixes h, da, d and c).  The NRPB in
1994 also used da (for deca) as well as yotta (Y), zetta (Z), femto (f), atto (a), zepto
(z) and yocto  (y).  Thus we have prefixes ranging from 1 E 24 to 1 E -24.
