     The following position is open at the Florida State University.  The 
     closing date for application submission is 8/13/98: 
     
     Title: Health Physicist                    
     Dep't.: Env. Health & Safety - Radiation Safety Office 
     
     Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in a related area of 
     science, appropriate technical experience may substitute for the degree 
     requirement.  This is an entry level position, the approved starting 
     salary will be most likely be near the bottom of the pay range of  
     $23,163 - $40,071 annually. 
     
     Note: The State of Florida waives tuition for full-time employees (up 
     to six credit hours per semester for graduate, undergraduate or 
     special students) and working hours can be adjusted at the RSO's 
     discretion to allow for class attendance.
