Suit Against Nuclear Plant

Tne term "nuclear plant" is probably assumed to be a nuclear 
power plant by the masses.

Suit Against Nuclear Plant - (PITTSBURGH) -- A class-action 
lawsuit against operators of nuclear plant goes to court
today in Pittsburgh. Nearly 120 residents in Armstrong County are 
trying to prove that their neighborhood has been ravaged by
cancer due to emissions from a nearby nuclear fuel processing 
plant. They claim the plant should never have been built near a
residential area... and say they were never told of the dangers of 
the plant. Those suing the company include the original plant
owner, Atlantic Richfield, and the company that later bought the 
plant, Babcock and Wilcox. Attorneys for the residents have
amassed Millions of documents about the plant. Part of what they 
learned is that a nearby treatment plant became radioactive
while treating wastewater from a laundry used to decontaminate 
workers uniforms. The jury trial is expected to last three
weeks.
