Job Opening



Description: The Cleveland Clinic Foundation has
an immediate opening for a Medical Health
Physicist to assist in supporting a broad-scope
NRC license. The Clinic is a 1000 + bed teaching
hospital with a Radiation Oncology department,
which has an active conventional brachytherapy
program, HDR and Gamma-Knife; a Nuclear
Medicine department with on-site nuclear pharmacy
and PET scanner. There are approximately 90
authorized users (principal investigators) of
radioactive material in the clinical departments and
research institute laboratories. Radiation Safety
currently provides service and consultation to two
affiliated hospitals. The service will also be
extended to other affiliated hospitals and clinics in
the near future.

Responsibilities: Provide support and assistance in
the all clinical and research aspects of the program
to include audit, policy and procedure development
to ensure regulatory compliance. The position
requires a M.S. in Health Physics or related field, or
equivalent experience. Training and working
experience in waste management,
decommissioning, license review, clinical and
research laboratory audit, diagnostic imaging
testing, instrument calibration are desired.
