Duty summary:
Responsible for the over all management of the collection, processing and 
disposal of hazardous chemical, regulated biomedical, and low-level 
radioactive wastes generated by Yale University.
Ensure compliance of all waste management activities with RCRA regulations 
and all applicable EPA regulations.
Develop University policies and procedures regarding processing and disposal 
of hazardous and regulated materials at the University.
Provide direction and supervision to professional and technical staff.
Develop, implement and administer technical training for University faculty, 
research personnel and staff.
Contract with outside licensed brokerage and disposal companies.
Other related duties.

Requires a Master's Degree in a related field of environmental sciences or 
public heath.  Six years of relevant experience in the field or an 
equivalent combination of education and experience.

Thorough working knowledge of Federal, state and local regulations governing 
the generation, storage and disposal of hazardous waste.  Well developed 
negotiation skills.  Excellent writing and presentation skills. Strong 
computer skills to include Windows versions of WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, and 
Paradox.
