90-Y Therapy Question Ammendment
Hello Again,
I should have included this part in my first posting, but I did not
think of it. The Reg Guide (8.39 April '97) uses the terminology
"minimal exposures to members of the public resulting from activities
normally administered for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes." However,
what constitutes "activities normally administered"? We have have
administered doses on the order of ~30 mCi and have gotten exposure
readings ~ 1.8 mR/hr. We have plans in the future to go as high, or even
above, 100 mCi! I believe that the dose rate from Bremsstarhlung may not
be neglible at these activities. I hope this provides further
information. Once again, thanks in advamce for your help.
