The details are sketchy on this incident. The term "accident",
which possibly true, promotes seriousness that might be over-
emphasized. As more information is obtained, I'll update Radsafe.

Czech Nuclear Accident Reported
PRAGUE, Czech Republic (AP) - A nuclear plant worker was
contaminated with radioactive material Friday, a television
station reported.
TV Nova, citing a statement from the Czech Institute for Nuclear
Safety, said the incident occurred in an ``internal control
area'' of the Dukovany nuclear plant and there was no leak of
contaminated materials outside the plant.
Plant spokesman Betr Spilka played down the incident, saying the
man was one of five who had been cleaning tanks used for
holding radioactive water and showed radiation levels 15 times
higher than the others.
However, he said the levels were still below those considered
normal for medical X-rays.
Officials at the Czech Institute for Nuclear Safety could not be
reached for comment.
