RE: Old Chart of the Nuclides -Reply
Ben, Wes, et al.,
A 1970 chart of the nuclides is of historical interest and a nice wall decoration, but
I would not recommend it for scientific or regulatory work. The historic interest is
that this may have been the edition with which GE went for the "big bucks." I
believe GE charged 30 cents for that edition whereas earlier editions had been
free; at least some of them were.
Why not get the current version? Sue Breneman and her colleagues at KAPL did
some nice work on the fifteenth edition (1996) and it should not go to waste. It is
easy to order (nuclides@sjcpo2.ne.ge.com) and if the $25 price tag bothers you,
squeeze your library.
A personal opinion, of course.
