SCO Wipe Efficiency and NUREG-1608
This is a continuation of an earlier posting dealing with surface
contaminated objects (many thanks to those replies).
In the NRC IE Information Notice 85-46 there is a discussion of higher
efficiency wipe samples. This raises several questions:
- What wipe efficiencies do you assume for painted/unpainted concrete/metal?
- If you assume a wipe efficiency greater than 10%, what technique do you
use and how do you defend the higher efficiency value?
An earlier reply to my posting concerning SCO's indicated that NUREG-1608
had been released. It does not appear to have been posted anywere on the
Internet, but is available through NTIS (800-553-6847) as NUREG-1608INZ for
$27 + $5 handling.
Thank you in advance,
Jim Key
