I am a ALARA Engineer at commercial facilities. The quote copied here says it
all. Are you physically in a "Work Area" with removable contamination.....? If
not, I would say a formal ALARA review is not required, provided Engineering
and Contamination Controls are in place. This is how commercial facilities
usually handle your scope of work.
