Re: "special" in Nashville Tennessean

Thanks Dee, for the link. The articles are quite disturbing, and
written to incite an emotional response from the readers.

The following quote, "In 1997, The Tennessean found
scores of people suffering a pattern of unexplained illnesses
around the Oak Ridge nuclear reservation. This year, the newspaper
found hundreds of people with similar illnesses around 12
other nuclear weapons sites." is quite intriguing. On the one hand,
they use the non-quantifiable term "SCORES" to determine
numbers of affected individuals, and then they state there are
hundreds (200 999????????) for 12 other weapons facilities. My
question would be, if there is this infinite problem at these facilities,
why aren't hundreds of thousands affected? Why only hundreds?
Perhaps the Tenneseean should consider epidemiology and
statistics for the areas they are compelled top label as "causative
agents".
