Self-Absorption Effects on Air Filters

     To refine my request:

Is there a specific procedure, series of equations, or methodology (a
cookbook recipe would be nice) that defines how to evaluate alpha
self-absorption effects on air filters? The filters I'm interested in
are mixed esters of cellulose and the pumps they are attached to pull
     40 liters per minute.

     Thanks,

     Radsafers,
Can anyone recommend some references that cover the issue of alpha
self-absorption corrections for air monitoring results? Thanks for
     your help.
