Iodine therapy

Dear Colleagues,

Would anyone know the recommended time that women treated with hyperthyroid
doses of iodine-131 should refrain from becoming pregnant.  Our Nuc Med
physician uses a 9 month period and we are trying to determine where that
may have originated.
