Re: Information on Irradiation of Wastewater

It's been done on a trial basis in several locations. There were a few
papers presented at the 10th International Meeting on Radiation
Processing last year. Proceedings are available in Radiation Physics and
Chemistry (Pergamon Press), vol. 52, nos. 1-6. Might try starting at the
Pergamon web site?

Also, the IAEA has been involved with these projects in many countries.
Check their publications list for reports.

One method would also be to talk to the irradiator and irradiator source
suppliers - if there's a potential market, they probably have several
details on viability. The two companies to check with are MDS Nordion in
Canada and Puridec in the UK.
