Please look at
http://www.iaea.org/worldatom/inforesource/bulletin/bull391/argentina.html

Argentine scientists have taken part in FAO/IAEA Co-ordinated Research
Programmes
on radiation treatment and safe re-utilization of sludges. With assistance
from IAEA,
a gamma irradiator now decontaminates 180 cubic meters of sludgeper day,
which then serves as a fertilizer for crop production.

If this is the subject for what you is looking for, please send me e mail
and I will help you to contact people in Argentina.

RADIATION PROCESSING

Applications of Isotopes and Radiation in Conservation of the Environment
Proceedings Series

Proceedings of a symposium, Karlsruhe, 9-13 March 1992. The objective was to
review
present knowledge of the applications of radiation, radioisotopes and
nuclear methods of analysis in the monitoring and control of environmental
pollution and in reducing emissions of environmentally toxic substances.
Isotopes and radiation have many characteristics which uniquely contribute
to the better understanding of environmental processes, as well as directly
protect the environment from the impact of toxic substances. These kinds of
applications form the focus of this volume.

Contents: Overviews of some main areas of application of nuclear techniques;
Flue gas purification;
Radiation processing of liquid and solid wastes;
Industrial applications;
Radiotracer studies;
Major analytical techniques and new approaches in environmental monitoring
and research;
Nuclear analytical techniques and their applications:
1. Atmospheric studies;
2. Studies of solid wastes, sediments and soils; 3. Hydrochemical and
miscellaneous studies;
Panel: Current problems and future trends in the use of isotopes and
radiation for conservation
of the environment.

Industrial Application of Radioisotopes and Radiation Technology Proceedings
Series

Proceedings of a conference, Grenoble, France, 28 September to 2 October 1981.
Applications of nuclear techniques, in particular radioisotope and radiation
technology, were reviewed with emphasis on the role of these technologies in
energy saving, in conserving and exploring for resources and in protecting
the environment. Promising new applications of radiation technology
included radiation treatment of sewage sludge for municipal water and
exhaust gases, while advanced applications in areas such as the polymer
industry, the manufacture of disposable medical supplies and the production
and preservation of food were described. The value of the application of
nuclear techniques in the exploration of resources such as coal, uranium,
natural gas and petroleum was emphasized. Nucleonic control systems
were reported to be an increasingly important technique for industrial
process control purposes.

Contents: Use of nuclear technology in exploration, processing and the
recycling of resources;
Industrial radiation processing; Nuclear technology for environmental
conservation; Radiation technology for bioengineering; Use of nuclear
technology for industrial process and quality control;
Equipment facilities and services;
Technology transfer to developing countries;
Economic benefits of nuclear technology.
