Proposed 10 CFR Part 35

The comment period for NRC's proposed rulemaking for 10 CFR Part 35, "Medical
Uses of Byproduct Material", Medical Policy Statement, and associated Guidance
Document, has been re-opened until December 16, 1998.  The proposed rule and
medical policy statement was publised in the Federal Register on August 13, 1998
(pg. 43516 - 43586) and may be accessed electronically at the NRC's website
(www.nrc.gov) under rulemaking.  The guidance document (NUREG-1556, Vol. 9)
was distributed to NRC medical licensees and may be electronically accessed at
NRC's website under the NUREG index.
