For a recent article detailing the hazards of laser pointers, read "Safety
Recommendations for Laser Pointers" by R. James Rockwell and C. Eugene Moss in
the Journal of Laser Applications.  There is also some information about laser
pointers at the Rockwell Laser Industries website:  http://www.rli.com

Rockwell Laser Industries is in the process of collecting any laws or
legislation pertaining to the use or purchase of laser pointers.  More and
more communities are restricting the sale of laser pointers to minors.  If you
know of any proposed or existing laws pertaining to laser pointers please send
us the information.
