Re: Position Announcement, New York City Department of Health
I understand the department is constrained by the Cities requirements,
however this position:
1. requires a NYC residency
2. requires a residency in poverty (at $55,000 max in NY)
3. requires a graduate degree
Any one of these narrows the field significantly, added together.... It
does seem a stretch that advertising on RADSAFE with these constraints is
going to be productive.
The department is extorted (oh, I mean constrained) by the City, however,
it is the departments decision where to advertise and how frequently.
Hopefully we won't get repeated announcements like UCLA, SLAC, the State
of ____, puts out. If the deparment is simply fulfilling the requirements
then it should state "sorry, we know this is a low salary but we must
show an attempt...".
Just my opinion,
