Regulations for Glove Box -Reply

Tracy,  are you transporting a glovebox or trying to operate one?

Transportation of rad-containing gloveboxes would be controlled
under DOT regulations, not DOE regulations.

Design and operation of gloveboxes in DOE facilities would be
addressed under 10 CFR 835, e.g. sections 1001 and 1002.

The best guidance for glovebox operations to date would be found
in AGS-G001-1994, "Guidelines for Gloveboxes," published by the
American Glovebox Society (800)243-1233.

You could also try an older document, ERDA 76-21, "Nuclear Air
Cleaning Handbook:..." which contains specific guidance on
designing ventilation systems around glovebox operations.
