According to newspaper articles printed at the first of December the
NEW Governer ran on a platform of shutting down Barnwell.  He will
replace the funding now going to education, which is much lower than
projected, with a state lottery perhaps.  He also has mentioned rejoining
the Southeast compact or closing Barnwell to all but South Carolina
generators.
