I would suggest that before you make any more comments on the
Barnwell situation you catch up on the events surrounding its
operation over the last year. Your points miss the actual facts in
many areas:
The education funding initiative has largely been a failure... David
Beasely pinned his star to the success of the education trust fund,
and after it didn't make the projected income... well, he's not
governor anymore (that's not to say there aren't other issues that led
to his defeat).
The future of Barnwell is uncertain... principally due to the political
winds blowing in the SC legislature ...
Finally, I wouldn't characterize Barnwell as a "dry" (arid) site,
although you could do so for Sierra Blanca, TX.
The back issues of "LLRWnotes" might be helpful here...
