The only caution regarding the above is in the situation where the 
lead effectively attenuates all of the interacting exposure, and there 
is no new response on the dosimeter. The estimation can only be 
made if there is a positive net response. If there is no net response, 
there is no way to provide for an effective dose calculation. To do 
so would be highly speculative.
