Re: Temperature dependence of TLD response
While it is unlikely that there will be any practical effect on comeercial
TLD materials over the temperature range cited, certainly at the higher
temperature there will be a greater probaility of emptying the low energy
traps. Probability of trap emptying follows an e to the kt relationship,
where t is the temperature and k (simply stated) is a constant (actually a
proability) of electrons escaping from the trap. k has different values for
different TLD materials and traps.
