Re: Temperature dependence of TLD response



CaF (or CaSO) works fine for this kind of application as long as a proper
filters are used to eliminate the low energy radiation or radiation that cause
low energy glow peaks. These low energy peaks are very unstable, therefore, it
is better to eliminate them. Ambient temperature within expected range (up to
60 celsius) does not affect the reading. I do not see this is the case in your
environment (-40 to +30 C) but it may gets higher than this in the environment
here. Using light filters (usually black or dark colors) may elevate the
temperature if the TLD is exposed to the solar radiation.
