Since someone mentioned the millenium bug -

Here is a Y2K info link that I check periodically.
This one talks mainly about Y2K's potential impact on the electric industry
 - both nuclear and non-nuclear.
It is run by a guy named Rick Cowles - who appears to be credible, but I
don't know for sure who he really is, so decide
for yourself.

They do make mention of potential problems with the grid.
