ICRP 30, which is the basis for 10 CFR 20, quotes states that 30% of inhaled 
iodine is translocated to the thyroid, while the remainder, "...is assumed
to 
go directly to excretion..."  This value will vary, especially for
individuals 
with thyroid disease.
