Teflon Development
According to the DuPont homepage at www.dupont/teflon/, Teflon was "discovered"
by Roy Plunkett in April, 1938. This was of course before the Manhattan Project.
The site also says Teflon was first sold commerically "under the trademark" in
1946 (after the War was over). The phrasing doesn't exclude the possibility that
Teflon was used, but not under the trademark, but they would have to be speaking
very legalistically for that to be the case.
