	--The solid angle of acceptance in steradians is the area of the
detector divided by the square of the distance from the source to the
detector. If the detector is 1 inch square ( 1 square inch in area) and is
situated 3 inches from the source, the solid angle of detection is 1/9
steradians (1 divided by 3-squared).
