RE: "Sorry" Not Job Description.

John,

While I haven't worked at ALL DOE facilities, the ones I have worked
typically recognize DOE Core Radiological Control Training (RCT) as opposed
to the ANSI 3.1 standard (required by most, if not all NRC licensees ). I
think you may find difficulty locating ONE mandated wage determination for
an RCT. Each facility has its own set of pay rates as far as I've ever
known. Certain contracts may fall under U.S. Dept. of Labor's Service
Contract Act (SCA) which determines minimum wage based job description and
locale ( i.e. County, State). I am currently on a project which does
recognize the SCA, however there is no job description for an RCT. On our
particular contract, RCTs are classified as "Environmental Technicians". You
may want to consult the DOE Radiological Control Manual (RADCON Manual) for
a job description & the required qualifications.
