SCCHPS/AAPM Meeting - Final Notice
This is the final information notice regarding the upcoming
joint meeting, hosted by the Southern California Chapter Health
Physics Society and the AAPM. There will be no charge for
attending either the workshop or dinner meeting. If you are in the
Southern California area, and are not currently a member of either
organization, please plan on attending this workshop and dinner
presentation. Meet colleagues in the area and become an active
participant, facilitating a better understanding of the issues within
our community. The social/Hors D'oeuvres hour is being graciously
sponsored by Amgen, and their support is greatly appreciated for
hosting this workshop and meeting.

The guest speaker will be Dr. John Cameron, Ph.D. Professor
Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Visiting
Professor, University of Florida. John will be conducting a
workshop, in addition to presenting the after dinner talk. The
following are the anticipated presentations:
Afternoon Workshop theme on "Evidence for beneficial effects from
low dose rate radiation" - 3 to 5 PM
The after dinner talk will be on "Radiation Protection Quantities - A
Radical Reappraisal". 6 PM
