MARLAP public meeting info...

Dear Radsafers:

The Multi-Agency Radiation Laboratory Protocols Manual (MARLAP) is
being developed as a multi-agency guidance manual for project
managers and radioanalytical laboratories. The document uses a
performance based approach and will provide guidance and a
framework to assure that laboratory radioanalytical data meets the
specific project or program needs and requirements. MARLAP is the
radioanalytical laboratory counterpart to the Multi-Agency Radiological
Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM).

MARLAP is currently in a preliminary draft stage. A public meeting will be
held on February 8, 9, 10, from 9:00 AM until 5:30 PM and on February 11
from 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss
draft chapters of the document. The meeting will be held at the National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD, Building
245, Room C-301. Persons wishing to attend this meeting should contact
Kenneth Inn at 301- 975-5541 to register.

The schedule, location, and registration information for future public
meetings will be posted on the following EPA website:
