Dear John,

We were browsing through the Web from the AECB, and we thought you might be
interested yourself. Canada has recently rewritten a lot of its RP
regulations and procedures, and has published on the Web a number of drafts
for review.

The main page of AECB can be accessed by http://198.103.98.211 and you can
then click "English" to get to the main English menu. From this menu a
whole bunch of stuff can be accessed, but we thought you might be
particularly interested some stuff in "Reports and Papers". On that menu,
you will find "ACRP-20, Radiation Safety Officer's Handbook (Parts A and
B)". If you click there, you will get a page which describes the draft
report, and at the bottom you can download (or view) two PDF files, each
about 100 pages long (or go there directly with
http://198.103.98.211/reports/adv_comm/acrp20/acrp20_e.htm). I assume you
have Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded free from the Web.

These files seemed to be chocked full of interesting information, and we
thought you might be interested in knowing the latest wisdom from the
authorities in Canada. In fact, this draft was just released Jan 26, and
is not yet official.

Anyway, see you soon. Ken.
