Sorry, but I cannot accept this speculation. As far as I understand, the Tl
is present in extremely small concentration. Furthermore nobody would open
a NaI detector and eat it. He or she would rather die of iodine poisoning
than from Tl. 

Do you have any further information about this sign and what it refers to?
