The person selling this does not know what they are doing. 10 CFR also has
some labeling and transfer requirements in this section. If the seller
ships this he must also comply with 49 CFR.

There is one exemption given in 30.15(a)(9)(iii) for a 0.05 microcurie source
of americium-241, which is "in" an ionizing radiation measuring
instrument...I'm presuming they mean something like a permanently installed
calibration source...But, the site that's auctioning this source didn't say
anything about an instrument, just the source.
It looked as though the seller was located in Charlottesville, VA...Are they
Agreement or NRC?
