Cops Seek Radioactive Thief - (PEMBROKE PINES) -- An urgent 
search is underway for some radioactive material stolen from a 
utility truck in Pembroke Pines. The potentially-deadly pill-sized 
iridium is housed inside a Gamma Ray Projector... and used to 
detect stress fractures in water mains, sewer pipes, buildings and 
even aircraft. Police believe the thief may NOT know how 
dangerous the loot actually is. Environmental officials say the 
iridium can cause illness and severe burns within a week of casual 
exposure. One expert says one hour of constant close contact can 
even kill you.
