Health Physicist Opening
Bechtel, an international engineering, environmental, and construction
company, is seeking a Senior Health Physicist to provide technical and
programmatic support for development, maintenance, and implementation of the
Bechtel Hanford, Inc. RadCon Program. This position will also provide
technical and administrative backup for dosimetry, corrective actions, and
occurrence evaluations.
Position requires a BS degree in Health Physics, Radiological Science, or a
closely related science field, or a combination of equivalent education and
relevant experience; 5+ years field experience in applied health
physics/radiological protection; and 3+ years experience in programmatic
development, oversight, and maintenance of a Radiological Control Program.
Must have an understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to conduct
of radiological control programs; a technical understanding of personnel
internal and external dosimetry (including associated dose calculations);
and must be able to meet Hanford Site Access/Badging requirements.
Certification by the ABHP, or progression toward CHP, is strongly desired.
