RE: H2O/moisture trap for vacuum pump
Cold traps are a common piece of equipment for a vacuum system. Based on
your e-mail address, I suggest you ask anyone around the accelerators at
SLAC. There are probably many available for your use.

Subject: H2O/moisture trap for vacuum pump
<html><div>RadSafers/Wasters,</div>
<div>Does anyone have experience with a device that can collect
water/moisture in a vacuum line? Is there even such a device? Any
information would be appreciated. </div>
<div>I am interested because if the water/moisture, when
radioactive,
reaches the pump oil it will result in a "regulated waste"
in
California (California mixed waste, if you will). </div>
<div>Thank you.</div>
