RAM DOT Fees

Before anyone  becomes too  complacent and decides not to comment on the
DOT proposed  rule pertaining  to registration  and fees  for  placarded
shipments, please  keep in  mind that  the U.S. (to my knowledge) is the
only country  that does not require placarding for Yellow II and White I
shipments.   In this regard we are most fortunate, and hopefully it will
last; but who knows.  The IAEA Safety Series on which the transportation
regulations  are  based  have  always  specified  placarding  for  these
category shipments.
