New Student's Corner at Web Site
In line with NRC's goal of enhancing public confidence and increasing our responsiveness to public inquiries, NRC's Office of Public Affairs and the Office of the Chief Information Officer expanded the agency's web page to include a Teacher's Corner and a Student's Corner. The Teacher's Corner contains a lesson plan on nuclear energy, a reactor concepts course, and a variety of classroom activities. The Student's Corner now features an animated presentation on nuclear energy and provides links to a Periodic Table of the Elements, a glossary of nuclear terms, and background information on nuclear activities.
The vivid colors and animated tutorial are designed to appeal to students who are beginning to study nuclear materials and nuclear energy. We hope to continue to enhance and improve the new page as resources allow. We encourage you to visit the site at --
