Re: Chernobyl remembered
If I recall this right - the Chernobyl virus and a few derivatives
were first identified last spring. By July-August, all the major
anti-virus software vendors had an udate that would identify and
"kill" the Chernobyl virus. In theory, if your PC has had an
anti-virus update from one of the major anti-virus players after
August 1998, you're "OK". I believe most of these vendors have info
available on their websites (e.g., www.symantec.com - example, NOT an
endorsement or commercial!). I haven't checked, but I'd guess that
Microsoft probably has something on their website as well.

In remembrance of one of the worst accidents at nuclear reactor power
facilities, I heard a news story today about a "Chernobyl" virus which is
supposed to attack PC's beginning today. Is there any info on-line about the
virus, virus detection or protection?
